Business Development Coordinator
BOARD OF DIRECTORS POSITION
Description
-
Solicit both monetary and in-kind donations for Crossroads K9 Rescue programs and events.

Apply for grants and program and event sponsorships
-
Attend public events and promote rescue operations
-
Coordinate fundraisers and revenue generating events
-
Work closely with Director of Marketing to continuously implement new fundraising ideas for Crossroads K9 Rescue and programs

Staffing Coordinator
BOARD OF DIRECTORS POSITION
Description

Makes schedule for volunteers for day-to-day operations, events, and as needed

Actively looks for and recruits volunteers

Ensures all volunteer paperwork is in order and completed correctly

Performs background checks on all perspective volunteers
-
Logs and reports volunteer hours to the Board
-
Reports to Director of Training
Qualifications

Ability to work with volunteers and coordinate schedules that fulfill the needs of the rescue

Ability to network in the community and attract volunteers
-
Able to manage and organize volunteers to maintain the facility as well as staffing events for the Marketing team

Able to perform basic background checks using public access means or contract 3rd party investigators to perform checks on potential volunteers

Able to properly fill out documents and store information digitally

Dog Walking/Exercise Volunteer
Description
-
Takes rescue dogs out of the facility on the appropriate lead for walks or other exercise activities

Takes rescue dogs to public areas to build the dogs confidence

Interacts with dogs in a positive manner to build trust and training skills

Must be able to handle large breed dogs

Must be responsible in a public setting with the dogs

Must be available on a regular basis

Foster Volunteer
Description

Houses rescue dogs in their home
-
Works with rescue dogs to integrate them into a home setting

Works with potty training, indoor manners, and continues basic command work

Must own your home or have written permission from the home owner in order to foster

Must have some experience working with or living with dogs
-
Must provide a safe environment in accordance with the rescue policies

Housekeeping Volunteer
Description

Assist in the day to day cleaning and sanitizing of the kennel facility

Remove waste and trash in accordance with the rescue policies

Maintain a clean and organized facility during your scheduled volunteer shift

Description

Manages the total life cycle of fundraising events for Crossroads K9 Rescue and associated programs

Works closely with other volunteers, contractors, and other people involved in events

Manages the rescue Facebook and Instagram accounts

Uses knowledge of social media to network, promote events, and attract potential adopters

Promotes events and fundraisers on various online platforms, Facebook groups and more to generate interest
Qualifications

Able to continuously come up with new and exciting was to promote the rescue on social media

Description

Canine Socialization Volunteer
Description

Interact with dogs of all ages to socialize them to home and family life
-
This may include playing, petting, praise and positive interaction with animals that may have come from backgrounds of abuse and neglect

Build trusting, loving relationships with animals who may never have experienced kindness or love
Qualifications

Must have a positive outgoing attitude

Must be patient when working with dogs that are shy or afraid
-
Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions

Must have an understanding of canine body language or be willing to learn
